In this episode, Carol Bassie, Owen Levan-Uhler ’26, and Lexi Jordan ’27 hopped on Zoom to speak with Kathleen Cannon ’86. Kathleen is the recpient of the Haupert Humanitarian Award for 2026. The Haupert Humanitarian Award recognizes an alum who has rendered outstanding service in the cause of human welfare.
Kathleen started her career as a licensed Social Worker in the Fort Lauderdale area. From 2002 to 2012, she was Vice President and COO of the Broward House. Since then, she has been the President and CEO of United Way of Broward County. She was also recently appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch, and is also a member of the Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice Board.
