This season we featured our Shining Lights recipients. We are proud of the Moravian community for everything they accomplish. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2024 Awards, to be held in the Spring of 2024. All 2024 nominations must be completed by August 31, 2023.

S6 E5 - Alumni Story: June Slawinski Youngs ’79

On this episode, Dylan Star, Assistant Director of Engagement Events, zoomed into a conversation with June Slawinski Youngs ’79, recipient of the Comenius Award for this year’s Shining Lights ceremony. They discuss her time on campus as a Moravian student and also talk about her various careers in supply chain logistics.

Laros foundation is receiving the Shining Star Community Partnership Award, which will be presented at the Shining Lights awards ceremony on Friday, April 21. S6 E1 - Alumni Story: Gary Martell ’76

To open Season 6 of Houndcast, Dylan talks to Mr. Gary Martell, recipient of the Haupert Humanitarian Award for 2023’s upcoming Shining Lights ceremony. During their conversation, they discuss Gary’s upbringing through childhood, military academy, and his time at Moravian. They also talk about Gary’s place in the community as a long-time employee of the Boy’s Club (now the Boy’s and Girl’s Club), as well as his continued and lasting impression on the City of Bethlehem. 
 

S5 E8 - Alumni Story: Angie DelGrosso Stein ’14

On this final episode of Houndcast for 2022, Angie DelGrosso Stein ’14, the Director of Mayor’s Initiatives for the City of Bethlehem, sat down to discuss her role as the new Moravian Alumni Board President. We chatted about her experiences as founder and owner of Steel City Plant Company, her recent marriage, and her mission to convince her niece to enroll at Moravian. We also talked about her goals for the Moravian community, and for the City of Bethlehem.
