In Part 1 of their two-episode conversation, Mike Hosfeld ’82 and Kristin Eicholtz shared how they found careers in empowering students. Mike is a Job Works Coordinator and Job Coach at the Mercy School for Special Learning, the Lehigh Valley's only private, nonresidential school for children and young adults with disabilities. Kristin Eicholtz is the Dean of the Center for Career Success at Moravian. Together, the two have fostered a wonderful relationship to expand opportunities for students at both Mercy and Moravian. On Season 11 of Houndcast, Carol Bassie and Owen Levan-Uhler ’26 interview civically engaged Moravian alumni. On this episode, Dylan Star and Owen Levan-Uhler ’26 met with John C. Mikovits, PhD, RN ’08, G’15. John is 2025's Benigna Education Award recipient for his anti-discriminatory healthcare education at Moravian, and for developing LGBTQ+-specific educational materials for the National League for Nursing. 

(S10E4) Connecting the Dots with Jon P. Otis ’79

We spoke with Jon P. Otis ’79, recipient of the 2025 Comenius Alumni Award. He talked about his English and Journalism major at Moravian, and how he found his passion and career in Interior Design and Architectural Studies. He shared his experiences teaching at Pratt Institute and his current research into sound-based therapy.

On this season of Houndcast, we're highlighting 2025's Shining Lights Award recipients. For this episode, Dylan Star and Owen Levan-Uhler ’26 met up with Jonathan L. Strauss ’16, the Young Alumni Achievement Award recipient. They talked about Jonathan's history of developing businesses while in college, making lasting and impactful relationships with alumni, and his company, Cortex Residential, which is building affordable housing in Allentown, PA.

Dylan Star and Owen Levan-Uhler ’26 sat down with Justin P. Driscoll '05 and Jennifer Kunes Driscoll '05, G'11. They are the recipients of the 2025 Haupert Humanitarian Award for their work as founders of Lily's Hope Foundation, a non-profit providing assistance to families of premature babies in NICUs around the country.
